Ian’s background in the security sector spans more than 20 years and includes work with national security firms as well as running his own business. In his role as Group Operations Director at Gough and Kelly, which he’s had since 2011, Ian looks after sales, guarding and G&K’s 24 hour control room as well as taking a proactive, hands-on role on many customer accounts. Ian is a qualified Safety Officer and works at various events including Castleford Tigers and Leeds United.
Richard has worked at Gough and Kelly since 2000, and currently heads the sales operation within the business. He has worked in the security industry since 1986.
Outside work, Richard is a keen runner and a regular 10k runner, often raising money for local charities and causes.
As Group Finance Director, James is responsible for finance across the group, running the company accounts department and overseeing a team of five people. A qualified accountant, James’s background in finance includes roles in private accountancy practice.
Originally from Bridlington, he now lives in North Yorkshire with his wife and two young children.
Jemma is often the first port of call for new customers at Gough and Kelly, responsible for contracts and setting them up on our system. Part of our service team, she also deals with our monitored intruder alarms and police response services, monitoring stations and booking installation work.
With a 25-year background in the security industry, Russell provides a very safe pair of hands for many of our customers. A Yorkshireman born and bred, he has worked at Gough and Kelly since 2000, having previously worked for the Crown Prosecution Service.
When he’s not working, Russell has an active role as a local Freemason, raising funds for local charities and causes.
Sean brings previous operations manager and mentoring experience in the security and manned guarding sectors to his new promotion, from Control Room Manager to Operations Manager role at Gough and Kelly.
He now manages the provision of security for G&K's client base and oversees the guarding and 24 hour control room. He continues to develop relationships with existing clients and new customer accounts.
In his spare time, an expanding family keeps Sean very busy!
Jade joined Gough and Kelly in 2013 as an apprentice, and worked as the company receptionist before moving into a HR role. Jade has recently been promoted to HR Advisor, where she is responsible for all screening and vetting within the business, and to provide assistance, advise and support in the day to day running of the HR department.
Outside work, Jade likes yoga, films, go karting and also enjoys eating out.
Nathan looks after our intruder, fire alarm, key holding and security customers, covering everything from site setup through to ongoing day-to-day (and night!) client and customer management. He is the first point of contact for those customers within the business. Nathan has a security background, and has worked at Gough and Kelly since 2011.
In his spare time, he enjoys spending time at the gym, keeping fit.
Robyn joined the Gough and Kelly service team in 2014. Her role involves supporting our customers by working with them and our engineering team to schedule jobs, repairs and site visits. Robyn spends a lot of her time speaking with customers on the phone and making sure they get the support they need.
Outside work, Robyn enjoys spending time with her young daughter. Her interests include health and fitness and she’s a regular at an aerial hoop class.
Peter, a qualified electrical technician with a track record of work with some of the region’s largest electrical contractors, joined Gough and Kelly in 2000. He is in charge of quality control, overseeing the work of our team of electrical staff and contractors and signing off on projects to confirm they meet NIC EIC requirements. Peter also oversees our electrical maintenance contracts.
In his spare time, Peter says his two young daughters keep him very busy.
Kim works alongside James in the accounts team, dealing with the day-to-day running of the department and helping with monthly accounts and payroll. Originally from Leeds, Kim joined Gough and Kelly in 2004 and was promoted to Finance Manager in 2021.
When she isn’t working she likes to socialise and spend time with her children.
Having joined Gough & Kelly 15 years ago, as an Engineer, Michael was promoted to Senior Engineer, after 8 years, to lead intricate and complex projects, both nationally and internationally. More recently, Michael has been promoted to Sales Engineering Manager to provide design, pricing and account management support and to pass on his knowledge and experience to our customers, as well as setting up his own projects for his engineering team to complete.
In his spare time Michael enjoys spending time with his family especially when it comes to Sunday morning football tournaments with his young sons.
Having joined Gough & Kelly 16 years ago as a second year Electrical Apprentice, and qualifying as an Electrician one year later, Mick has since moved departments to Access Control, having gone from Engineer, to Senior Engineer, to Engineering Operations Manager.
Over the course of his career, he has worked on multiple Access Control systems, from standalone to multi-country systems, and is now responsible for the training of our Engineers in all aspects of Access Control.
In his spare time, Mick enjoys bouldering and sport climbing around the UK and abroad, and more recently, spending time with his new daughter.
Adam has worked in the electronic security industry for over 20 years, and now manages the Service team at Gough & Kelly, as Engineering Operations Manager. After starting his career as an Engineer, he joined Gough and Kelly in 2018.
Outside of work, Adam enjoys spending time with his young family, walking, and he is an avid follower of Rugby League.
Craig originally joined Gough and Kelly as a placement student whilst studying at Northumbria University. Now graduated, he has returned to join the team. His role involves leading various projects throughout the business and managing our fleet of vehicles, to ensure our engineers keep on moving.
Outside work, Craig enjoys playing in his band and spending time with his young daughter.
James started at Gough and Kelly, as an Engineer, in 2002 after working in the security industry since leaving school. He obtained his first security systems qualification not long after and assists our engineering team with his vast knowledge and expertise. He is our main intruder alarm trainer and also ensures that we continuously receive outstanding results in our NSI audits.
When he's not at work, James enjoys spending time with his family and socialising with his friends
Paul is our York Operations Manager and has worked for the company for five years. His main role is front of house for the City of York council West Offices, where he prides himself on his first aid knowledge, customer service, and where he is the "go to" man for any problems.
As our York division is expanding, Paul will be working closely alongside management to gain further experience and to manage all York sites. This will enable the York division and Gough and Kelly to build on their current and future success.
James started working for Gough & Kelly in September 2017 after spending the last six years working as a commercial diver in the North Sea and on various projects across Europe. In his new role as CCTV Operations Manager he draws on his experience from working in high pressure, procedure driven environments with an eye for the details.
He is currently working to ensure that the City of York’s CCTV is the best it can be and looks forward to what the future holds for him within Gough & Kelly.
Prior to becoming a diver he was a snowboard instructor in Canada and loves the outdoors. In his spare time he enjoys playing music and photography.
Dan joined Gough and Kelly in 2017 as a Controller, and has since progressed to a Team Leader, and more recently, in January 2022, to a Control Room Manager. Within this position, Dan manages the day-to-day operations of man guarding, key holding and alarmed response, which includes taking responsibility for manning sites and customer liaison.
Outside of work, Dan enjoys spending time with his four children, and socialising with friends.
Nicole joined Gough and Kelly in December 2020, as an Accounts Assistant, after 8 years’ previous experience within the field. Alongside studying for her AAT, her main duties include payroll, invoicing, bank reconciliations and day to day accounts activities.
In her spare time, Nicole enjoys socialising and spending time with her children and family.
Reece has recently joined Gough and Kelly as Accounts Apprentice to support the Accounts department in the day to day transactional activities and will, undoubtedly, prove to be a valuable member of the team.
In his spare time, Reece enjoys socialising with friends and playing rugby.
Steve has worked at Gough and Kelly for 18 years, originally joining the team in 2003 as an Access Control Engineer. His 30 years’ experience in IT, and his background in electronics and diagnostics, made him ideally suited to his role as Technical Manager, where he oversees the company's infrastructure and provides support and training to staff and engineers.
Jason has worked for Gough and Kelly for over 8 years, starting as an Events Safety Steward in 2013. Since then, he has naturally progressed through the company, and has recently been promoted to Operations Manager. As a result of working in multiple different roles at Gough & Kelly, Jason’s skillset and experience is very versatile and, therefore, transferable to his new position. Within this role, Jason manages security provisions for events, stadiums, and static sites.
Outside of work, he enjoys keeping fit and going to gigs, concerts and shows, and socialising with his colleagues.
Millie joined Gough and Kelly in March 2020 and works within the HR Department as a HR Co-ordinator, after graduating from The University of Manchester where she studied BSc Psychology and MSc Organisational Psychology. Her roles involves assisting with recruitment, training, and performance management, and carrying out day to day HR duties.
In her spare time, Millie enjoys travelling and spending time with her family and friends.
Vicky joined Gough and Kelly in February 2020 as a Service Desk Advisor, after graduating from University. She has recently been promoted to Service Desk Coordinator where her main duties are to oversee the day to day running of the service desk and provide support to the Engineering Operations Managers.
In her spare time Vicky enjoys socialising with friends and family and travelling.
Georgia joined Gough and Kelly, in 2021, on a Level 2 Customer Service Practitioner Apprenticeship. She works within the Service department as a Service Desk Advisor to book in engineering jobs and maintenance visits.
In her spare time, she enjoys socialising with her friends and cooking.
Max joined Gough and Kelly, in 2021, on a level 3 Business Administrative Apprenticeship. He works alongside Craig Weston, Project Manager, to ensure the vehicle fleet is running smoothly, and oversees the engineers’ timesheets, mileage sheets and phone bills.
Outside of work, Max enjoys spending time with his friends and watching football.
James joined Gough and Kelly in June 2021 as an Assistant Electrical Manager. He works alongside Peter, our Electrical Manager, to produce CAD drawings, prepare quotations, manage stock control and generally support the electrical team.
Outside of work, James enjoys socialising with his friends.
Ciara started working at Gough and Kelly in January 2020 as an Events Safety Steward, and has progressed to a full-time Events Administrator role, since 2021, as part of her Leeds Beckett University placement year. Her main duties include supporting the Events and Security team by assisting with the recruitment of Stewards, staffing events, and completing administrative tasks.
In her spare time, Ciara loves to socialise with her friends.
Jack joined Gough and Kelly full time in September 2021, as our IT Apprentice, but in previous years he has gained work experience during the summer holidays. He is now taking a Level 3 Network Technician Apprenticeship, and works alongside Steve Fielder, Technical Manager, in all IT related issues, updates and projects as well as offering IT support to our employees.
In his spare time, Jacks enjoy coaching his younger brothers football team, and is currently completing a referring course, meaning he will be able to referee more football games on a weekend.
Lauren recently joined Gough and Kelly’s Service Department, as a Junior Service Desk Administrator. Her role is to provide telephone and administrative support to the Service team to help ensure customer satisfaction, as well as scheduling and booking in maintenance works.
Outside of work, Lauren enjoys baking and socialising with friends.
