Procurement Apprentice
Salary: £6.60 - £11.44 per hour

We now have an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Procurement Apprentice to join our fast-paced team in Leeds, to assist with managing our procurement process and keeping our internal databases up to date.
The position:
- Full-time, 40 hours per week
- To undertake the CIPS Level 4 Diploma in Procurement and Supply at The Procurement Academy

Main duties:
- To raise purchase orders and assist in the approval of purchase orders
- To assist in the procurement of goods
- Negotiate with various suppliers to secure the best prices and terms for goods and services
- Plan and organise service procurement to meet internal SLAs, including but not limited to:
- Timely weekly replenishment of van stock for engineers.
- Management of product prices within G&K’s CASH database.
- Supporting company procurement of service materials.
- Verifying deliveries before dispatching to engineers.
- Communicating any delays or issues to the Service Desk Manager/Project Manager to ensure customers are kept informed.
- Logging notes into the management system, including actions taken.
- Provide effective communication to internal customers to ensure all parties have the information they need in a clear format and timely manner.
- Ensure customer queries are dealt with in a timely manner and compliant to customer SLAs.
- Report security events or potential events or other security risks to the organisation and protect assets from unauthorised access, disclosure, modification, destruction or interference.
- Adhere to company policy in relation to Health & Safety and Equal Opportunities and complies with all policies and procedures as laid out in the current company handbook, with particular emphasis on the protection of sensitive customer information.
The ideal candidate will:
- Possess a grade C/4 or above in Maths and English - essential
- Have an excellent level of computer literacy, including the use of Microsoft Office
- Be customer focused
- Have the ability to work within a continually changing environment
- Possess strong organisational abilities
- Have strong verbal and written communication
