Gough & Kelly are delighted to continue their partnership with Castleford Tigers for the tenth year. With this, we are sponsoring eight of their amazing players for the season.

Danny Kirmond – York City Knights

Danny Kirmond plays as a ‘Second Row’ forward for the York City Knights, wearing the number 17 shirt. This position requires speed and agility, taking up a larger portion of the field and performing a large portion of the defensive tackles.

Danny has had an impressive career, previously playing for Featherstone Rovers, Huddersfield Giants and Wakefield Trinity. He also earnt an England cap in 2012.

It’s a privilege to sponsor such an experienced and skilled player, who now also fulfils coaching roles at the club.

Milly Ash – York City Ladies FC

Milly Ash is a Defender for York City Ladies FC, usually operating as a left-back but can also play left winger. The Minsterbelles are currently at the top of the Northeast Regional League table, clear of the next team by 10 points! So, Milly is doing a great job.

Before coming to York City, Milly played for Castleford Whiterose, Guiseley Vixens and Leeds United.

We cannot wait to see how this season ends, and Milly’s amazing contribution!

1 Football Academy

Gough & Kelly continue to sponsor the U12’s at 1 Football Academy in Leeds.

Drax Cricket Club

Drax Cricket Club is a local village cricket team in Drax, near Selby, that has been established since the late 1800’s. The club has Senior, Junior, and Social teams.

We are sponsoring their shirts and training tops for the new season starting in 2022.

Donna Smith – Eight ball pool

Donna has had an incredible few years for both the North Yorkshire Ladies and the Scottish teams, being the runner-up in the Masters in Aberdeen and representing Scotland in the world championships in Northern Ireland in October 2022. Donna is now Scottish Open Champion 2023.

Carlton Cricket Club – Junior team

Carlton Cricket club started out in 1867 and their junior team(s) are key to their longevity and success. The club believes in the `bottom up’ approach to the sustainability of club cricket, saying ‘If a club has a strong and thriving junior section, then in the long term the overall strength of the club will only improve’.
