Security Officer, York

Salary: £12.85 per hour

We now have an excellent opportunity for two experienced Security Officers to join the team, to provide security services to a site in York (YO1).

The position:

• Permanent
• Full time – 4 on, 4 off shift pattern (involves working weekends; involves a mixture of shifts including days and lates)
• A valid SIA DS/SG Licence is essential
• A valid UK driving licence and ownership of vehicle is essential

Main responsibilities:

• Customer focused approach
• Monitoring of access points
• Conducting security checks/patrols
• Responding to any emergencies
• Prevents any losses and damage by reporting irregularities
• Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities where necessary
• Liaises with the in-house reception team

Required skills and attributes:

• SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guarding Licence
• A full, clean, UK driving licence and own transportation to site
• 1 years’ experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to communicate clearly with the general public and engage/advise when necessary
• Ability to deal with uncertainty
• Strong surveillance skills
• Professionalism
