Sales Key Account Manager, Leeds

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Sales Key Account Manager, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience, to join the fast-paced team based in Leeds. The Sales Key Account Manager will oversee building long-term relationships with a group of customers, be responsible for generating sales, be assigned prospects, given accounts, or a combination of thereof.

The position:

Responsibilities:

  • Be the primary point of contact and build long-term relationships with customers.
  • Help customers through email, phone, online presentations, screen-share and in person meetings.
  • Develop a trusted advisor relationship with key accounts, customer stakeholders, team members and executive sponsors.
  • Generate sales among client accounts, including upselling and cross-selling.
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives.
  • Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate client records, keeping track of any contract updates and renewals.
  • Work with sales and other internal teams to develop strategic marketing plans and ensure KPIs are being met.
  • Meet regularly with other members of the team to discuss progress and find new ways to improve business.
  • Forecast and track key account metrics.
  • Responsible for keeping current clients satisfied and delivering exceptional client service on a day-to-day basis.
  • Monitor and analyse customer's usage of our products and services.
  • Responsible for working with the Sales team to onboard and integrate new clients and developing existing client relationships.

Role requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience with electronic security background.
  • Preference of sales experience in a senior or key account role.
  • Proven account management or other relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organisation, including executive and management level.
  • Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail.
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to thrive in a results-driven environment.
  • Natural relationship builder with integrity, reliability, and maturity.
  • Ability to prioritise among competing tasks.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of customer account development, marketing, measurement, and analytics.
  • Excellent time, sales, and project management skills. You're always looking to improve inefficient processes.
  • Keen attention to detail and adherence to deadlines.
