We now have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Supervisor to join the team, to provide security services to an educational facility in York.

The position:

  • Permanent
  • 12 hour shifts, 7 on 3 off and 7 on 4 off shift pattern, on a 3-week rota
  • Immediate start available, subject to vetting and passing safeguarding checks
  • A valid SIA Licence is essential

Main responsibilities:

  • Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry
  • Conducts locks and unlocks
  • Responds immediately to any disturbances
  • Obtains help by sounding alarms
  • Prevents any losses and damage by reporting irregularities
  • Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities
  • Liaises with the in-house team

Required skills and attributes:

  • SIA Door Supervisor Licence
  • 1 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly with the general public and engage/advise when necessary
  • Ability to deal with uncertainty
  • Strong surveillance skills
  • Professionalism
  • A full, clean, UK driving licence (preferred but not essential) and own transportation to site
