A year of fundraising for Martin House Children’s Hospice

We are incredibly proud to have reached our £10k target for the second year running! Find out about our activities over the year, here.

We have had a wonderful year fundraising for our chosen charity, Martin House Children’s Hospice, and are delighted to share that we have reached our target of £10,000 for the second year running.

Founded in 1987, Martin House Children’s Hospice provides family-led hospice care, free of charge, for children and young people with life-limiting illnesses.

Over the last twelve months, our team has dedicated more than 40 hours in pursuit of our total. We took on physical feats, including a Dragonboat race, which saw 22 members of our team dressed as superheroes compete at Roundhay Park in Leeds. We also pushed ourselves to complete the famous Yorkshire Three Peaks, a 24-mile route, summiting all three peaks within 12 hours.

Martin House, which is based in Boston Spa, has been undergoing renovations this year to extend and improve its premises. Gough & Kelly staff, including directors, headed to site to assist, getting our hands dirty with gardening shifts and painting. We also held charity bag donations to bolster their store stock and increase revenue.

Further fundraising activities included volunteering, donation buckets and boxes at Castleford Tigers, weekly donation buckets at staff charity football, office raffles and our Christmas fuddle. In all, over 50 of our amazing staff have been involved with our fundraising efforts.

We are thrilled to be donating to this wonderful and vital charity and hope to continue our partnership with them for years to come.
