Baking enthusiasts were given the chance to impress strict judges from the Gough & Kelly team last week, when we held our second Macmillan coffee morning.
Five star bakers created seven different cake varieties including butterfly and fairy buns, Victoria sponge, chocolate chaos cake and biscuits galore. Together, we raised £100.
This year, the coveted Best Baker award went to Jemma Whiteley for her delicious Victoria sponge with lightly whipped cream, and our ‘guess the number of dots on the cake’ sweepstake was won by service desk adviser Robyn Savage.
The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is Macmillan’s biggest annual fundraising event. People and businesses all over the country host coffee mornings to help raise money to support people facing cancer and last year the initiative raised a total of £25 million.Return to the News page
