Health & Safety has always been at the forefront of everything Gough & Kelly does, as we proved recently by ensuring all our engineers have completed an Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) training course.
And while in previous years we have trained our engineers via our online training hub, this year Gough & Kelly’s new Health & Safety Advisor, Lisa Anderson, decided to bring everyone together by temporarily converting the boardroom into an interactive classroom.
Designed to improve the safety culture within an organisation, the highly credited IOSH Working Safely course focuses on why health and safety is important, as well as giving employees an understanding of their individual responsibilities and how to keep themselves and others safe.
Lisa says: “While distance learning has its advantages, there really is nothing like a hands-on and interactive approach when it comes to Health & Safety training. To keep the group sizes manageable, we split our engineers into two groups over two days and I’m pleased to say both groups impressed with their enthusiasm. For Gough & Kelly to be able to say that every one of its engineers has now completed this kind of training is a fantastic achievement.”
