At Gough & Kelly, staff wellbeing is of utmost importance and so when we heard about a new wage payment system which aims to reduce financial stress, we jumped at the opportunity to trial it.
As part of our staff benefits package, we are trialling the new Wagestream system – another great benefit for those working at Gough & Kelly. Wagestream allows employees to draw down their wage in stages throughout the month, rather than waiting until the end of the month to be paid. We recognise that everyone has different financial pressures during the month – whether it’s an unexpected car repair bill or the kids need a new pair of school shoes – and the Wagestream system can help alleviate these pressures.
The system also allows employees to save directly from their salary and gives access to a range of charity-backed financial wellbeing tools designed to help empower employees to build better financial health. Staff can track and instantly access their wages via an app whenever they need to.
Says Ian Crawford, Group Operations Director at Gough & Kelly, “We want to support our workers as best we can and hope that this financial wellbeing support will help our employees to take control of their pay cycle. We believe this will be of great benefit, particularly for those working flexibly or on shifts, so they don’t have to wait until the end of the month to draw down wages.”
