Members of the Gough & Kelly team put their best foot forward at the weekend as they represented the business in the annual Leeds Abbey Dash.
Times for the eight runners from the business who took part in the 10k road race include a fantastic result of 49 minutes and 15 second for GK director Richard Whiteley, with fellow director Gavin Fearnley only a minute behind at 50 minutes and 15 seconds.
Service administrator Jemma Whiteley made it to the finish line in 57 minutes and 37 seconds, while engineer Jonathan Jakeman, whose run clocked in at 54 minutes and 45 seconds, commented: “It was 54 minutes and 45 seconds of pain, but all worth it in the end in the name of a good cause!”
Around 10,000 runners of all ages and abilities took part in the annual charity event on Sunday 6 November, with money raised in support of Age UK’s work with vulnerable older people.
As well as supporting a worthwhile cause, several members of the Gough & Kelly team were proud to report having beaten their own personal best times during the race, despite the chilly conditions.Return to the News page
