Gough and Kelly has partnered with Martin House Children’s Hospice, with a pledge to raise £10,000 throughout 2022.
Martin House is based in Boston Spa and supports families across West, East and North Yorkshire.
The team cares for more than 440 children and their families every year, as well as offering care to around 150 bereaved families.
We are no strangers to fundraising. Throughout the company’s 34-year history, staff have raised money for a wide range of causes ranging from the Leeds-based Children’s Heart Surgery Fund to Cancer Research UK.
In 2021, team members completed the Yorkshire Three Peaks, raising £10,000 for staff-nominated charities and at Christmas the business donated time and funds to the Cash for Kids Mission Christmas initiative, to help ensure no children in the region went without a Christmas present.
As well as committing to raising £10,000 for Martin House this year through a range of activities, we have offered the use of a climbing wall, kickboxing, and gym facilities at its Leeds head office for sibling activities.
Ian Crawford says, “After speaking to Abi and hearing first hand from families about the difference Martin House has made to their lives, the decision to support them was an easy one. Everyone in the business will be doing their bit this year to help make sure Martin House can continue their inspirational work.”
Martin House Partnerships Manager Abi Proctor adds, “We’re delighted to welcome Gough and Kelly as our new partner, and we’re looking forward to working with them, and supporting them in their fundraising activities throughout the year.
“As well as making a real difference to the children and young people we care for through the money they raise, the opportunity for brothers and sisters to enjoy fun activities thanks to the team at Gough and Kelly is amazing.”
