We are delighted to announce that our Three Peaks Challenge in September raised over ten thousand pounds for charities chosen by our staff.
Fourteen staff from across the business took on the 24-mile endeavour, which includes summiting Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough, and the aim is to complete it in under twelve hours. Due to unforeseen circumstances and unpredictable weather, we didn’t quite meet the 12-hour target, but we are so proud of all our staff who took part in the challenge and their determination to raise funds for their given causes.
The charities chosen by staff included Tourette’s Action UK, Macmillan Cancer Support, the Alzheimer’s Society, Cardiac Risk in the Young and the Bexley Wing, Oncology, Ward J96, at St James’ Hospital.
Ian Crawford said “The challenge was formidable, but our staff took it with grace and determination. We are really happy with the funds we have been able to raise by taking part and hope they can make a difference to the recipients.”
Our next charity activity is Mission Christmas, an initiative from Cash For Kids to help disadvantaged children and young adults receive a gift on Christmas Day. You can read more and help here.
