How Does Key Holding Work?
With Gough & Kelly as your No.1 Key holder your burglar alarm will cease to be a cause for sleepless nights.
In the event of an alarm activation at your property, the following procedure would be followed:
Working from our Control Centre, our team of experienced personnel would take the call from the alarm company. Unless you have requested otherwise, you or your work colleagues would not be informed at this stage.
Upon receipt of the call, one of our response drivers would be issued with the keys to your property as well as the instructions previously agreed with you during the initial property survey. Our response officer would then be immediately dispatched to the property. Upon arrival, the response officer would, conduct an external patrol of the property.
On our arrival, if the property exhibits signs of intrusion then police assistance would be sought. The property would only be entered once the police have arrived at site. If however the outside of your property does not show signs of intrusion or disruption then our response officer would enter the building following the agreed instructions.
On entering the site, our officer would then make his way to the alarm system and silence the alarm, taking note of any activated areas displayed on the keypad.
The officer would then proceed to the area of the activation. If possible any identified problems would be rectified and the alarm system would be reset. We would then ensure the property is re-secured.
If the alarm system cannot be reset, the alarm company would be contacted to arrange for an out of hours engineer to repair the fault; at no time would the property be left unattended.
When all necessary works or actions have been completed, information detailing what time we arrived and what we found would be left for your attention.
After leaving site, our response officer would then immediately return to our control centre. Once there, the keys and site instructions would be signed back in and re-sealed by control centre staff.
On the next working day, during normal business hours, a member of our operational management team would contact you to follow up on the report and ensure everything was done to your satisfaction.
Our Keyholding services covers the whole of West and North Yorkshire, including Leeds, Bradford, Halifax, Huddersfield, York, Harrogate, Skipton and Wakefield
